[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”3.2″ text_orientation=”justified” module_alignment=”left” use_border_color=”off”]is Professor of English Literature at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She received her degrees from the University of Cologne and had earlier professorial positions at the Universities of Chemnitz and T\u00fcbingen. Her special research interests are in various areas of British literature and culture from the Victorian period to the present. She has published on the short story in various contexts and formats, from a survey monograph to themed anthologies and articles in critical collections.<\/span>
