has focused his research on the short story in English for the last few years. He is particularly interested in exploring the ways ideological discourse is reproduced and undermined in literary text. He was the supervisor of <\/span>the research projects entitled Modernism, Postmodernism and the English Short Story, <\/em>funded by the Galician Regional Government for the period 2008-2011, and Women\u2019s Tales: The Short Fiction of Contemporary British Writers<\/span><\/em><\/a>, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness for the period 2015-2016.<\/span><\/p>\n Sacido-Romero is Senior Lecturer in English at the Department of English and German Philology of the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
